LQ Series Features

Built-in water pump within the water block

Both water blocks have a built-in quiet water pump. This minimises tube connections and helps the coolant to move quickly.

Low profile water block

Slim water blocks allow for them to be installed in slim/low profile cases that have a mounting for a 120mm fan. The LQ310 is 28mm tall while the LQ320 and 315 are 32.

Micro fins and copper base

All water blocks feature a pure copper water block and inner pure copper micro fins which aid in high efficient heat transfer.

High durability tubing applied to ensure safety

The last thing anyone wants is for the tubing to leak! Therefore Zalman have fitted the coolers with high durable tubing to ensure no leakage, ever!

Minimised noise, maximised performance, up to Qmax 340W!

An ultra quiet 120mm fan and an aluminium radiator are used to minimise noise and maximise the cooling performance. The LQ320 has a Qmax of 340W because the radiator is 52mm thick, the LQ315 is 38mm thick and the LQ310 is 28.

Supports two 120mm cooling fans

If performance is king then installing a second 120mm fan is not a problem.

Eco friendly corrosion prevention coolant

The water blocks use a glycol based coolant with a corrosion inhibitor added to prevent any metal corrosion.

LQ320/315 Only Features

Blue LED water block

The LQ320 and 315 features a blue LED to not only provide a cool effect, but to also indicate that the pump is switched on and running.

High quality aluminium design

The sides of the LQ320 and 315 have been fitted with aluminium brackets that gives the radiator a more elegant look.

Product Differences

The LQ320 and 315 are identical apart from the 320 has a thicker radiator, therefore it can provide slightly better cooling. The QMAX (cooling performance) of the 320 is 340W, whereas the 315 is 330W. The LQ310 has a QMAX of 300, this is solely down to the fact that the radiator is 28mm thick. The LQ310 does not feature a blue LED water block unlike the 320 and 315. The provided fan for all products is the same.

Great Performer

,

I bought this to replace my Artic Freezer Pro 13 which I was very happy with, it cooled well and was quiet but took up a massive chunk of my case and didn’t look that good through the side window. I thought as long as the Zalman wasn’t too noisy and cooled as good, then I would be happy. Anyway the build quality of this cooler is very good and seems well made. The pipes are very flexible and seem to be very tightly attached at each end.

Fitting is easy as long as you spend a few minutes studying the instructions to make sure you are using the correct screws for your set up. (I had a slight issue with a screw and bracket but full marks to Quiet PC who sorted it out straight away, customer service the way it’s meant to be :)….). Once installed the cooler looks the part with the top of the pump lighting up in blue.

If I remove the side of my case and put my ear up against the open side of the pc I can barely hear the pump, it is almost silent. The pump volume doesn’t alter regardless of how hot the cpu gets. The fan noise is about the same as my Arctic Freezer 13 fan which I always regarded as being quiet. The Zalman fan spins at about 950rpm under normal use and when pushed it rises to 1700 rpm where the noise level rises but not to a ridiculous level. I tested the cooler’s performance last night and here are the figures, My cpu is an i7 2600k and I have it overclocked to 4.4Ghz, the ambient temperature was 23.8c. At idle it hovered around 33c. Two hours of Battlefield 3 the highest temperature reached was 58c. 1 and a half hours of prime 95 running the cpu at 100% and the cpu would not go any higher than 66C. At idle the Zalman is about 2-3 degrees better than my arctic freezer 13 but putting the cpu under load with prime 95 the Zalman is a massive 20c cooler than my Arctic freezer 13. The Zalman LQ315 as far as i’m concerned is a great cooler, it looks good, takes up little room in my case and performs far better than I was expecting.
